"Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man." - Edward Steichen
Photography is a key element to the Izola story and work ethos. From setting up a perfectly styled product shoot to Izola founder, Neil Rasmus being a photographer himself.
So it seemed fitting to acknowledge the birthday of one of America's greatest and most influential photographers, Edward Steichen. Regarded as the best known and highest paid photographer in the world, he photographed for Vogue, Vanity Fair and Camera Work as well as directing 1945 Academy Award winning war documentary, The Fighting Lady. His work below is an example of how he continues to influence many contemporary photographers to this day.
